Valvoline's car freshener marketed under the Everfresh brand, costs as much as the Ambi Pur unit. The unit performed well with the air conditioner running. Again that is the biggest drawback of an otherwise very effective unit. The fragrance was acceptable, but not that everybody wanted to have on the car as default. The fluid had a tendency to leak as well once the unit was mounted on a air conditioner vent which was angled.
