A Pulsar 220 and of late while pushing the bike around corners, I found that the rear suspension is very softly sprung which acts as a hindrance while cornering hard and during hard acceleration. The bike becomes a bit too bouncy for my liking. Even the stiffest setting on the stock shocks felt soft to me. I prefer a stiffer ride and. therefore I am contemplating change of shocks to stiffer ones. My doubts are

Will a change to stiffer shocks alone be enough to improve the feedback from the bike while cornering and accelerating?

What are the things I must keep in mind while buying aftermarket shocks?

What are the parameters that tell us abou,t the stiffness of the shocks?

Lastly, I would like to know if I can use the Apache RTR Frs stiffer rear shocks on the Pulsar 220.

You can try using OE shock absorbers from some other heavy bike like the Bullet. We aren't sure though if they will fit. You can try experimenting by fitting one inch spacers in the springs to stiffen the spring rating.

I request you to help me get some accessories for my Yamaha .I would like to install a free flow silencer which should look and sound good Moreover it should help in performance and price is also a factor for me.

Yes, you can fit an aftermarket air filter but make sure it is fitted in the air box chamber only.

For brighter lights, you may switch to HID lamps.

Change the stock tyre of the Rr5 to a dual¬purpose one only if you do a lot of riding on dusty roads. Else stick to the stock one.
