Suzuki is hardly what you would call an old hand in the Indian market. However, so far, their two-product line-up - Zeus and Heat - has more or less failed to make a big dent in the 125cc segment. Truth be told, it was expected, since the products, despite their very high quality levels, did not create a buzz like the Bajaj Discover, or its ilk. Suzuki announced a mid-term upgrade for the Zeus, which filled in the feature gaps with alloy wheels and all, but still, sales growth has been relatively slow.

However, Suzuki have opened their scooter era with the Access, a 125cc scooter to reckon with. Suzuki - like Honda did when they launched consider the scooter market and the relentless growth of the gearless scooter important enough to have a product in there first. and then focus on entry-level (partially covered by the Heat) or premium segment (no products yet) motorcycles. Simultaneously, Suzuki is also working on a CBU programme, with the Hayabusa being at the forefront of every related rumour.
