Separating steerin'g, suspension, braking and acceleration loads is key to achieving an improvement in function over telescopic forks. And diverting load path6 away from the headstock would be preferable. In doing this and breaking the traditional bike chassis silhouette, there may also be the opportunity to include other advantageous design touches, such as having less unsprung weight, a lighter frame or the chance to have the engine as a stressed member and separate front and rear subframes, rising-rate front suspension to match the action of the rear shock, or retaining a constant geometry.
