The first car from Maruti that truly offers beefcake looks and we love it. Men are back indeed and how. But there is more to the SX4 than what meets the eye. The SX4 is a little bit of everything. It is spacious, fun to drive, emits a tasty exhaust note and offers huge boot space. The car has helped us on more than a dozen photo shoots and is a great car to drive not only on highways but on pothole scared roads. The car came to us on in the month of May this year and has so far registered I0240km on the odometer. On an average the car does more than ISOOkm evety month. Even though the car looks huge and is huge, driving it within a traffic filled city like Pune is breeze.

The car is extremely manoeuvrable even in the most tricky traffic situations. The main reason that assists us is the brilliant driving position that couldn't have been better. The ride quality too is comfortable as the car's huge tyres eat up potholes with a thank you note. The SX4 has assisted us many a times during our early morning shoots, it's been the vehicle of choice for our ace photographer Kunal. With a boot large enough to swallow his camera and tons of lenses and a couple of tripod stands, we agree. Not just that, with a little grin on our face we also agree that that car can easy seat more than the recommended seating capacity. Great when we need to attend our colleague's birthday parties. The seats truly help over here, offering ample comfort for evety occupant.

On the other side minor issues have cropped up with the SX4 over time. For example the left rear door doesn't open even till date. The front door on the driver's side rattles on really bad roads. But when you have a bass filling audio system on the inside and a climate control air conditioning system, such minor issues don't worry, well not that much anyway. Fuel efficiency is a bit on the lower side with recent figures touching IZ-4kmpl on the highway and less than 8kmpl in the city. To round out this running report, I can yet state that we still are enjoying our stint with the SX4, especially when it comes to pushing the car around the curves on the outskirts of Pune city and atop the ghat section near Lonavala. Though a slightly powerful engine and another 30 odd PS would have made us even happier, we aren't complaining much for now.
