The supermini from the stable of volkswagen was slated for an India debut ever since VW made its intentions public about bringing the Polo Cup to India. With the event scheduled, volkswagen would lift the wraps off a new variant of its popular car this year only. Unlike the motorsport version which flaunts a 2.0-litre petrol engine, the Indian avatar will have a 1.2-litre and 1.4-litre petrol and diesel variants.
