The Volt is an expensive car, so we can expect it in India only if there's a market for it. It's an ER instead of EV. It has a small powertrain and also runs on battery, so you don't have the problem of the car stalling when you run out of battery.
In kicks the powertrain, charges the battery and takes over the running of the car. As of now, it's a left*hand drive and later we'll see it in the right*hand version.
