As part of world tourism Day Chandigarh Tourism organized a static display of vintage and classic cars at the Lake Club. The 30 cars on display included a 1933 Tourer which was the oldest car. The most recent was a 1952 Hillman Minx. Bhupi Thind's 1938 Citroen Traction Avant with its bug-eyed headlights was a head-turner.

There were a number of VW Beetles, a 1951 Fiat 500, a 1936 red Dodge convertible and two 1948 Buick Eights. Baljeet Manco's 1948 Chevy Fleetmaster was declared the best looking car. Aditya Sharma, owner of Lyons restaurant, who had sponsored the event and even taken part in it, hosted a lunch for the entrants.
