Music. dance, cheer-leaders and action-packed racing, thrilled the local crowd and motor sport enthusiasts at the Mohites Track, Kolhapur. Held on September 28, this was the race that decided the winners of the JK Tyre Rotax Mojo Max Indian Karting Challenge 2008.
Ameya Walawalkar was the star of the race and put in one of his best performances but it was a case of too little too late. Despite winning here he finished the championship in fifth place with 37S points. A disappointed Ameya said: "It is sad that even though I won three out of five rounds, the retirement in the second round at Coimbatore made a big difference in my points table."
