Before the Getz could really establish itself, the Maruti Suzuki Swift arrived. Since then it's not been able to match the Swift's popularity and this is sad because it's a very fine car and has such a lot going for it. Very balanced proportions, a smart profile and a spacious interior with good fit and finish. The boot is of a decent size and it has eager pet¬rol engines (1.1 and 1.3) and a great gear shifter. And now it also comes with the Verna's power packed 1.5-litre diesel engine, which makes it amongst the fastest small hatches.
