The car that started it all and ushered in the automotive revolution. It is, surprisingly, still around. This is a testimony to its design and engineering where the formula has been to keep it simple and cheap. It does what is asked of it quite well and though it does not offer lots of space, great refinement or power, and not much in the way of style, features or comfort, it continues to be amongst the most reli¬able small cars around. And let's not forget it's the lowest priced car and also the cheapest to run and maintain.

This tall boy is fairly spacious and yet quite compact. Interiors are also brighter and after the last facelift it's also much smarter arid better looking. It's got a fuel-efficient 1.1 engine and the Duo version also offers LPG power. The tall design and narrow tyres result in some body roll and the lack of stability at high speeds means that it's best utilized as a city commuter. All controls are light and easy to oper¬ate and there is adequate space for four, though the boot is quite small. Both airbags and ABS are available.
