The new MPV from Tata, the Indicruz will be based on a modified Safari platform. As our spy pictures suggest, it sports a nose similar to the Indica Vista and looks almost production ready. TATA seem to have done a great job with the design giving it a contemporary look and liberating loads of space inside. It will also get the 140bhp 2.2-litre CRDi engine fwm the Safari, making it the most powerful vehicle in its class. The Indicruz will be a better looking vehicle compared to the Xylo and will try to take the Innova head on though it may find it difficult to match the Toyota in terms of build quality, refinement and its excellent road manners. TATA claim to have benchmarked their car against the Innova. How successful they'll bein their endeavours, however, is something that remains to be seen.
