Originally designed as the Volks-Wagen (meaning 'people's car' in German) by Ferdinand Porsche for Hitler, the revived Bug started the retro revival trend in the automobile industry. Based on VW's Golf platform, it offers good build quality, sound mechanicals and practicality unlike the original. In addition, this time around, the engine is in the front and it's a front wheel drive. What remains is the distinctive shape that looks completely different from anything else on the road. To be imported as a CBU, the Bug will remain an expensive toy for the rich and the famous. Its only closest rival in India will be the retro chic FIAT 500.
