The Freelander is mooted as the best soft-roader in its class. It has quite a lot of resemblance to the Range Rover and the Discovery which is not necessarily a bad thing. Being a genuine Land Rover, it is much more capable off-roader compared to rivals like the CR-V. It has a robust and durable cabin and everything from the chunky buttons on the dash to the strong, rubbery trim have that built-to-Iast feel. A great driving position with a precise steering, narrow A pillars, flat bodywork, a large glass area and a bonnet that's visible to its end make the Freelander a breeze to pilot in town.
