The Embera was introduced in 2005, and though it was a far better on-road performer than its predecessor and also larger, it did not succeed in replicating the initial success of the model it replaced. Last year, it got a two-litre CRDi engine mated to a six-speed 'box. Adequate power, but one cpuld do without the turbo lag. The interior design is very spacious and quality is good. The ride, handling, steering, braking and overall performance and build quality are a monumental improvement over the previous version.
