One of India's biggest tractor manufacturers, International diversified into the car market with the Rhino multi-utility vehicle a few years ago. Clearly inspired by the Toyota Qualis, the Rhino was designed to make the most of the vacuum created by the exit of the Toyota. But being a me too product has not helped matters, and the Rhino has had, at best, very limited success. Powered by a 100bhp 2.0-litre turbodiesel that was originally a Rover engine, the eight-nine seater Rhino is a typical multi-utility vehicle that is high on practicality but low on design and refinement.
