When Carlos Ghosn of Renault said that the only place in the world where a low cost car can be built was India, he knew what he was talking about. Sure enough, Renault has set up a global design studio in Mumbai, which will work extensively on the ULC or the Ultra Low Cost car that Renault and Nissan are building with Bajaj Auto. The first to come off the design studio's block is however the new Logan Edge. The next gen Logan for India will have a lot of design inputs from this centre.
