It is probably for the first time that a bike maker has joined hands with a tyre manufacturer to produce an exclusive co-branded tyre for its bikes. Michelin and Harley-Davidson have come together to develop the Michelin Scorcher 31 tyre, which carries both companies' trademarks on its sidewalls and the signature Harley-Davidson logo moulded into the shoulder. The tyre will be available as original equipment on four 2010 Harley-Davidson Dyna models. It features an exclusive deepcut tread design to improve grip and water dispersion capability. Wet performance is also enhanced by the use of advanced synthetic polymer rubber compounds.
