Michael Schumacher, the seven time formula I Drivers' Champion, has been racing in the German IDM Championship this season on a Honda CBR1000RR. He went one step further and recently tested the HANNspree Ten Kate Honda CBRlOooRR Fireblade at the French circuit of MAgny-Cours. He rode the World Superbike Championship bike of Honda rider Carlos Checa. Hannspree Ten Kate Honda team manager, Ronald Ten Kate, said that he is always a little nervous about letting someone apart from team riders ride their bikes before the end of the season. But with Michael, Kate was happy to make an exception.

The WSB bikes are much more powerful than the stock bikes and Schumacher proved to be more than capable of handling the power of the WSB spec CBR1000RR according to Kate. Schumacher said that his sole motive behin9 testing the bike was to understand the working of a professional superbike team. Is this the real reason or is it that Schumi plans to move to WSB?
