The on and off-road master act, the Honda XL700V just like the VFR800, hasn't seen any technical modifications over the 2008 version. The trusty 680cc, liquid-cooled, fuel injected V-twin has been retained, though the high efficiency HECS3 oxygen sensing catalytic low emissions system now ensures full Euro III emissions compliance. The peak power and torque output figures remain unaltered at 60bhp and 60Nm. We don't have much to crib about as the 680cc twin is one of the most robust engines in the world and something that doesn't need to be tinkered with much.
