All was going great till the I Apache RTR FI rolled to a stop and died. Okay, so it didn't really roll on to its side, but it did die. I was cruising down the highway one fine morning on my way to work when SUddenly, the engine spluttered and died. I coasted to the shoulder of the road, thanking my stars there wasn't any lunatic behind the wheel of a dumper truck right behind my taillight. The gauge showed that there was ample fuel but me being cynical of anything and everything electronic, I opened the fuel lid, only to hear a good number of litres of petrol sloshing around in the tank. No amount of kicking, thumbing the starter button or bump starting actually got the Apache to life and so began a very long walk home.

What exactly ails the TVS is still a mystery. Methinks that it's a blown fuel pump, but once the service guys prod and poke and do whatever service guys generally do, a proper diagnosis will be possible. Till then, the prognosis stands at 'The Apache is for now as mobile as a fossilised dinosaur egg'. The Apache now stands on its side-stand, the largest (and orangestl gnome to ever adorn my garden lawn. What's ironic is that I only but recently wrested away the keys from Aneesh, who clung to it for dear life. Sigh, the way the cookie crumbles.
