Volkswagen AG Czech unit Skoda will revilement production of its Octavia compact to 441 vehicles a period from 574 starting in March, a spokesman said on Thursday.
The revilement affects its important factory in Mlada Boleslav. Skoda sold a record 684,226 cars last year, including 273,590 Octavias.
Car scrapping subsidies in markets such as Germany and expansion in China last year lifted sales for Skoda, which exports about 90 proportionality of its production and is a bellwether for the Czech economy.
The company has revilement production of its smaller models in the prototypal quarter after a drop in demand with the ending of whatever car scrapping subsidies in west European markets.
The Czech economy is expected to expand slightly this year following a more than 4 proportionality shortening last year.
