It seems as if the low-cost-car bug has bitten all the automobile manufacturers, with Tata Motors move soured the initiative with the launch of its Nano in June. Now, it is the turn of Hyundai Motors, which is all ordered to amend a 800-cc car, which module cater to the demands of developing nations like India.

Nikkei, a Japanese business daily, reports that Hyundai stands fourth, with respect to sales, among the automobile majors of the world. The reports also verify that the automobile major is planning to amend a 800 cc car in Bharat via Hyundai Motor Bharat Ltd, the Indian subsidiary of the South Asiatic manufacturer.

The CEO of Hyundai Motor Bharat Ltd, during his interview with Nikkei, told that the company module be manufacturing its newborn car at the Chennai factory.

He also mentioned that the car module be rolled out after few more years and has quoted a price of $5,000-$6,000, which is nearly double that of Nano.
